Opening Multi-Level Computer Courses - January, 2001
According to the Program of the Water Resources Management Training Project in the Aral Sea Basin, it was planned to market the training center as a local center of excellence and budget the institution's programs using a cost-recovery methodology.

The advantages of training at the ICWC Training Center include:
  • advanced audio-visual and computer equipment;
  • skilled instructors from among the best specialists of the region;
  • elaborate curriculum approved by the experts of the Mount Royal College;
  • a western learner focused approach, delivered by McGill and Mount Royal trainers;
  • ICWC Training Center certificate of a western type.
The first commercial course which will be organized at the ICWC Training Center covers the area of computer knowledge. Computer courses will be held for 3 weeks per month, between training workshops, on the basis of the excellent equipment of the training center.

The principal difference from other computer courses available in Tashkent will be multi-level education, where main directions of training are divided into three levels studied one by one. At present there are the following directions being developed:
  1. MS Windows 98/2000 and MS Office Applications
  2. Internet and Local Networks
  3. Operation and Maintenance of a Personal Computer
